Do I need a referral/script to be seen at Redemption Physical Therapy? No, a referral is not needed to initially be seen at Redemption Physical Therapy. This allows you to start Physical Therapy as soon as possible, which has been shown to improve recovery and get you back to what you love as fast as possible. In Florida, you can recieve Physical Therapy services for 30 days prior to needing a referral/script from a physician. At that time, we will discuss the necessary steps that need to be taken in order to continue services as needed.

Why is Redemption Physical Therapy out of network with all insurance companies?Redemption Physical Therapy was founded on a model that is unlike traditional treatment models of directly taking insurance. Ultimately, we believe in one-on-one treatment that is 100% customized to each client and your needs. Insurance based physical therapy clinics often need to see multiple patients per hour to be profitable. At Redemption Physical Therapy, we feel that this type of model breeds poor quality care and you deserve better! In doing so, Redemption is able to provide each patients with one on one sessions that are uninterrupted by other patients and led only by one licensed physical therapist; ME! I am able to practice unrestricted by poor insurance reimbursement rates allowing me to perform the most effective treatments for your specific issues. This often leads to my patients getting better at a much faster rater and with less total visits overall compared to the traditional physical therapy model of 2-3x/week. *Also, it is important to note that in not participating with any insurances, by law, I am NOT able to treat those with Medicare. If you are in need of physical therapy, but you have Medicare, I can gladly refer you to a fellow physical therapist who does accept your Medicare insurance.

Can I submit for reimbursement from my insurance company for a portion of my physical therapy out of pocket expenses?Yes, but this depends on your insurance company and plan. Ultimately, you can send in self-claims forms (typically found on your insurance companie's website) along with receipts and treatments codes (provided by us upon request) to your insurance company. Reimbursement amount and/or payment toward your deductible is completely dependent on your insurance plan. If you are planning to submit for reimbursement you should call your insurance company prior to visiting Redemption Physical Therapy and ask about reimbursement for out-of-network physical therapy expenses.

How many sessions will I need to get better? This is completely dependent on the person, the injury, and a number of other factors. What we can say is that, for reasons already mentioned, you will likely need far fewer treatments at Redemption Physical Therapy than you would if you were going to a more traditional insurance based clinic. The number of sessions recommended for your optimal recovery will be discussed during your first visit.

What do I need for my first visit? We ask that you try to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled visit for some paperwork. Also, please wear loose fitting, comfortable or athletic clothes so that you can be easily and properly assessed. Payment via cash or card will also be due at time of service.
